Job DescriptionRole Overview: Possibility in Your HandsJoin Amcor as an Extrusion Assistant and play a key role in supporting the production of high-quality flexible packaging. In this role, you’ll assist machine operators with the setup and operation of Coater or Blown Film lines, ensuring smooth production flow and consistent product quality. Your contributions will help Amcor deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to customers worldwide.ScheduleShift: 12-hour 2-2-3 straight night shift (6:55 p.m. – 7:10 a.m.)Work 3–4 days per week with schedules provided a full calendar year in advanceCompensation & Benefits: Value, RecognizedWe reward great work with:Pay: $21.06–$24.02/hour + $0.50/night shift premiumOvertime: 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week401(k): Dollar-for-dollar match up to 8%Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, disability, and life insurance coverage starting day onePaid time off and holidaysTuition reimbursement and professional development opportunitiesJob Description: Possibility UnpackedWhat You’ll Do:Assist operators in all aspects of Coater or Blown Film line operation, including change-overs, start-ups, running, and shut-downsOrder and maintain resin boxes to ensure a proper, steady supply for Coater or Blown Film machinesPackage mill rolls, weigh and haul scrapSupport troubleshooting, material handling, and housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaComply with all Safety, EHS, GMP, 5S, and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiativesOperate Coater or Blown Film machines when an operator is absent or on vacation (once qualified)Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or managementWhat We Want From You: Lead the PackPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious manufacturing experience a plus, but not requiredMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operationComputer literacy and ability to follow production instructionsStrong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and commitment to working 12-hour shiftsCapable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsStand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.Work on and around machinery for extended periodsPerform tasks in a fast-paced production environmentWhy Amcor?Be part of a global leader while working in a supportive, team-driven environment at our Fremont plant.
