Key responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include:

• Gather pertinent data from charts and other caregivers; discuss with physicians as necessary
• Independently assess all patient types as assigned
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize additional needs during evaluation; exercise good judgment in decision-making
• Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals
• Reassess patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or when need arises
• Identify appropriate equipment, discuss with patients and families, and make recommendations

Requirements of the Physical Therapist include:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred; Bachelor's degree required
• LPT License in the state of TX (or compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
