Client Engagement Manager/Delivery Lead – Professional Services

Position Overview

C4 Technical Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on  Client Delivery & Account Manager to manage consulting engagements, own client relationships, and grow business within existing accounts.

This is a hybrid delivery, account management, and consultative sales role. The ideal candidate comes from an IT consulting or professional services organization and has experience managing projects, building trusted client relationships, and identifying and closing additional consulting opportunities.

We are looking for a doer who enjoys working directly with clients, managing delivery, solving problems, and driving revenue growth—not someone who simply oversees teams or manages from a distance.

This is not a traditional Business Development or new-logo hunting role. Success comes from delivering exceptional service, strengthening existing relationships, and expanding consulting opportunities within those accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Services Delivery

• Personally manage multiple consulting engagements from kickoff through completion, ensuring successful delivery against scope, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Coordinate consultants, technical leads, architects, and delivery resources.
• Lead client status meetings, manage project risks, and resolve delivery challenges.
• Track project financials, including revenue, gross margin, utilization, and budgets.

Client & Account Management

• Own day-to-day relationships with assigned consulting clients and serve as their primary point of contact.
• Build relationships with business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and future initiatives.
• Lead client meetings, business reviews, QBRs, and engagement planning.
• Manage client escalations, ensure satisfaction, and strengthen long-term relationships.

Account Growth & Consultative Sales

• Identify and develop new consulting opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Lead discovery conversations, qualify opportunities, and work with technical leadership to shape solutions.
• Drive follow-on projects, consulting expansions, and additional Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Partner with Business Development and Account Management on account strategy while personally driving opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Own opportunities from initial client discussion through proposal development, negotiation, and close.

SOWs, Proposals & Financial Management

• Develop SOWs, proposals, estimates, project plans, and staffing models in partnership with the CTO and technical leadership.
• Manage scope changes, contract extensions, and additional project opportunities.
• Monitor engagement profitability, revenue forecasts, and delivery performance.
• Ensure consulting engagements are structured for successful delivery and profitable growth.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in IT consulting, technology consulting, or professional services.
• Proven experience combining  hands-on project delivery, client account management, and consultative sales .
• Demonstrated ability to grow existing client accounts through additional consulting engagements and SOWs.
• Experience personally managing multiple client projects, budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Strong understanding of consulting delivery models, SOWs, proposals, and project financials.
• Comfortable working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with technical teams to develop and position consulting solutions.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a growing services organization.
• Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or enterprise technology environments is a plus.
