You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients' lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Transporter like you to be a part of our team.

What you will do in this role:

• Verify patient identification before transporting.
• Safely and properly transport patient to and from vehicle and/or other area of the hospital as requested, continually communicating with appropriate staff on transport.
• Ensure call light is within patient reach.
• Communicate with nursing staff concerning patients transport method.
• Promptly report changes on patient's condition during transportation to nursing staff.
• Maintains all transport equipment and linens.
• Check proper operational status of wheelchairs and stretchers daily; ensure cleanliness and request repairs as needed.
• Keep a full O2 tank on transport equipment at all times.
• Demonstrate efficient, effective and prompt responses to all crisis situations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients, families and employees.
• Maintain a safe environment complying with Infection Control, OSHA, and JCAHO standards, Environment of Care policies and Patient's Rights

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
