Our client, a senior living community in Weston, MA, is looking for an experienced Cook to join their culinary team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled cook who enjoys preparing high-quality, healthy meals and working with older adults in a collaborative environment.
Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, including weekends
Weekend Differential: Additional $5.00 per hour
Direct Hire position w/full benefits
Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve flavorful, nutritious meals for residents and staff
- Follow established food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Prepare meals that accommodate therapeutic and dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining service areas
- Adjust recipes and menus based on feedback from residents and staff
- Work closely with the culinary team to develop healthy and appealing menu options
- Help maintain the high standards of a five-star senior living community
- 2+ years of professional cooking experience
- Strong culinary and food preparation skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and ability to modify recipes as needed
- ServSafe Certification required
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Calm, professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred
