Senior System Administrator

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require proficiency across the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• We need strong knowledge of Azure AD, including single sign-on, conditional access, synchronization methods, and group policy administration.
• We expect deep expertise in cybersecurity controls such as endpoint protection, encryption, intrusion detection, and secure system hardening.
• We require solid experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure, and premise-to-cloud migration work.
• We need advanced PowerShell scripting skills and experience with other automation tools.
• We require familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Azure.
• We need networking knowledge covering DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and troubleshooting with packet capture tools.
• We expect experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam and storage technologies including SAN and iSCSI.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and certifications.
• We require at least 5 years of systems administration experience in an enterprise setting.
• Microsoft 365 or MCSE certifications are preferred.
• We need the ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, walk job sites when needed, and travel to other locations as required.

• We manage and support on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Track IT, and cybersecurity tools.
• We act as the primary escalation point for IT issues, partnering with vendors and resolving complex technical problems.
• We design, implement, and improve maintenance plans for performance monitoring, patching, disaster recovery testing, and automation.
• We promote cybersecurity best practices such as MFA, least-privilege access, conditional access, and secure configurations.
• We lead system replacement and upgrade initiatives to better align IT capabilities with business objectives.
• We document IT processes, policies, and configurations, including network diagrams, patching, disaster recovery, and security controls.
• We configure and administer firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and related networking equipment.
• We monitor and respond to system and security alerts from tools such as Proofpoint and CrowdStrike.
• We deploy and maintain backup and recovery solutions to protect data integrity and support business continuity.
• We develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and other automation tools to reduce repetitive work.
• We perform regular network audits and implement remediation actions where needed.
• We manage endpoint configuration tools, such as Automox, to keep systems secure and compliant.
• We deliver responsive support to internal stakeholders and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
• We create and update technical documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
• We stay current on emerging technologies and recommend solutions that fit our needs.
• We train, mentor, and guide junior team members and support staff.
• We carry out other related duties as assigned by management.
