Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner while adhering to professional nursing standards and practices.

Shift Details

• Evening/Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Schedule: 1900-0800

Qualifications

• Current Washington State or Compact RN Licensure
• Active certifications in BLS, NRP, and FHM
• Minimum of 3 years of travel experience in Labor and Delivery, couplet care, postpartum, or mother-baby units
• Ability to float as a sitter and in rotation as needed
• Willingness to take call as required

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care utilizing nursing processes and unit-specific standards.
• Develop, implement, and continuously assess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and complete necessary nursing procedures and treatments.
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs.
• Document care provided, assessments, and patient responses accurately.
• Collect patient information necessary for providing safe, high-quality care.
• Conduct ongoing holistic assessments of patient status and respond accordingly.
• Determine and perform appropriate nursing actions to meet patient care goals.
• Educate patients and their families on relevant health information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and oversee the care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital policies.
