They provideoutstanding guest service experiences within a sales culture thatutilizeselementsof GameStop's Circleof Lifebuy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. This position ensures products are easily accessible and purchasable, boosts sales by sharingproductand gaming knowledge with guests,maintainsa clean andorganized shopping environment, and fosters guest loyalty and repeat business.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests, respond toguest questions/concerns promptly, effectively, and courteously, assist guests in meeting their videogaming needs, inform guests about special promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply all selling behaviors during each transaction, and express gratitude toeveryguest for choosing GameStop. Prioritize guestsover tasks anddemonstratethis commitment by circulating throughout the store.Support theoverall shopping environment, including visual andoperational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead tosales and repeat business.Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) computer system, ensuring top-notch guest service.Address guest commentsor questions in personoron the phone, answering phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally toensure every guest receives top-notch guest service.Promote GameStop’s unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the ProRewards guest loyalty program.Ensure that all areasof the store, including restrooms, are clean,organized, and merchandised according tocompany guidelines. Ensure all store fixtures and equipment are in proper workingorder.CompleteOmni-Channelorders daily.Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices, includingscamawareness, safety best practices, andmaking bankdeposits asrequired.Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandiseon shelves and fixtures, and move products from thestock roomtothe frontof the store toensure that all products in the store are represented,organized, and alphabetizedon the selling floor.Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative andoperational duties.Count, balance, and reconcile daily businesstransaction totalsaccurately in the POS system. Ensure that all closeout paperwork for daily business transactions and bank deposit slipsarecompleted correctly and accurately.Assist management in ensuring the store has sufficient cash and change for sales transactions.Make daily bank deposits following established guidelines.Check shipments for discrepanciesor shortages and record any discrepancies in the POS system. Report any discrepancies tothe Store Manager / Store Manager 2/AssistantStore Manager as needed.Process defectives/recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring that all boxes are properly labeled and include packing lists.Visually inspect associates' and leaders' packages and/or belongings at store closingor at the endof a shift.Supervise and delegate tasks toSales Associates in the absenceof management.Consistently adhere toGameStop policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, all policies and procedures in the Associate Handbookand the Codeof Standards, Ethics & Conduct.Follow allopening and closing procedures.Observe associate performance and providetimelyandappropriate feedbacktothe store management.QUALIFICATIONS*Must provide proofof identity and eligibility tolegally work in the United States.Mustbe at least 18 yearsold.High school diplomaor equivalent required.At least 1 yearof retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.Videogame knowledgepreferred.Must be able towork alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to10 hours per day.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES Exceptional guest service skills.Provide genuine and friendlyassistancetoevery guest during each visit.Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, both in person andon the phone, using spoken and written English; bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.Work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements.Operate the POS computer system and properly complete the required paperwork.Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and alphabetizing skills.Self-motivation and ability towork as a team tocomplete necessary tasksin a timely manner.Problem-solving skills and judgment abilities.Follow instructionsfurnishedin written,oral,or diagram form.Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.Worka flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
