Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Float Pool

divh2Job Description/h2pInova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Float Pool to join the team. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation./ppstrongFeatured Benefits:/strong/pullistrongCommitted to Team Member Health:/strong offering medical, dental, and vision coverage and a robust team member wellness program./lilistrongRetirement:/strong Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions starting on your first day./lilistrongTuition and Student Loan Assistance:/strong offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans./lilistrongMental Health Support:/strong offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost./lilistrongWork/Life Balance:/strong offering paid time off, paid parental leave, and flexible work schedules./li/ulpstrongRegistered Nurse (RN) Float Pool Job Responsibilities:/strong/pulliPerforms comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships/liliFormulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice/liliSupports and empowers patient/families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions/liliAdvocates for patients rights from the patient/family perspective while providing counsel and acting as a resource to resolve issues/liliAnticipates ethical, spiritual and cultural needs of patients and intervenes to maximize patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning/liliDocuments all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and assists healthcare team members with documentation/liliEvaluates the outcomes of documentation and contributes to related performance improvement initiatives/liliCollaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and leads other disciplines to meet desired outcomes/liliActs as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to healthcare team members/liliDemonstrates evidence of self-development by obtaining a minimum of six formal contact hours and maintains own Team Member Continuing Education Record/li/ulpstrongMinimum Qualifications/strong/pullistrongEducation:/strong Graduate of an accredited Bachelors Degree in Nursing. If RNs have an Associates Degree within 2 years of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1. Identify which school they plan to attend, 2. Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion; 3. Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required prerequisites and timeline for taking the courses, and strongComplete BSN within 5 years of start date/strong/lilistrongExperience:/strong Experience: 2+ years of critical care RN experience preferred/lilistrongCertifications:/strong BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) NIHSS/li/ul/div
