Dietary Cook Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team at Envive Healthcare of Beech Grove, a healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents. If you are passionate about food, cooking, and providing top-notch service, we encourage you to apply for this part‑time and full‑time opportunity. Responsibilities: Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule, ensuring that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed Serve meals that are palatable and presentable Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including washing pots and pans, and sanitizing work areas Knowledgeable of health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures, and maintain documentation Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions Participate in continuing educational programs to stay up-to-date on the latest culinary techniques and procedures Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must be at least 18 years of age Must be interested in geriatrics, and able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally About Envive Healthcare of Beech Grove: At Envive Healthcare of Beech Grove, we believe in the importance of providing a warm and welcoming environment for our residents and their families.
