About the Role
Elev8 is revolutionizing the nightlife scene in downtown Columbia, and we're seeking dedicated and energetic Barbacks to ensure the bar operates at peak performance. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bartenders and enhancing the overall guest experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy staying active, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do
- Keep all bar stations fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, and garnishes.
- Assist bartenders by promptly responding to their needs during service.
- Change kegs and replenish inventory throughout the night.
- Collect and wash glassware while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Remove trash, break down boxes, and uphold cleanliness throughout the bar.
- Restock supplies before, during, and after service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
- Collaborate closely with bartenders, servers, security, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and all company safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous barback, restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced nightclub environment.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to stay organized under pressure.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Weekend and late-night availability required.
- Must meet Missouri's legal age requirements to work around alcohol.
