(USA) Prepared Food Lead

Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise a team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other department leaders to meet the club’s overall expectations. What You'll Do Team Leadership: Supervise the prepared foods team, facilitate rotations through different fresh areas, communicate departmental goals, execute company programs, and advocate for members, associates and the company. Operational Expertise: Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and back‑room operations, ensuring the area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance. Seasonality Management: Handle seasonality in production, understand new products, recipes, processes and specifications, prioritise time between areas, and collaborate with associates and third parties to provide required resources. Technology Use: Leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality, and encourage adoption of new tools. Business Ownership: Drive business results, plan for profitability, maintain a neat, clean and safe work area, ensure appropriate staffing levels, audit and compliance standards, and produce and display merchandise according to the layout plan. Engage with other departments and external partners to ensure operational continuity. Talent Development: Teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally and externally. Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and practices, analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Compliance & Ethics: Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, and assist management with ethical and compliance issues using the Open Door Policy. Team Collaboration: Lead and participate in teams, share resources and information, coordinate assignments, and provide advice, feedback and support to meet timelines and quality standards. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*. *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
