Stevenson Tax & Accounting is looking to add a Senior Tax Manager to our staff. The primary functions for this position involves preparation and review of a large volume of individual and corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. This position involves leading a small team of tax professsionals, advising clients, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards without the need for travel. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership abilities to drive effective tax strategies and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning initiatives and develop strategic tax solutions
• Oversee tax compliance and ensure accuracy in all filings
• Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 tax professionals
• Provide expert advisory services to clients on mixed tax specialties
• Conduct thorough regulatory research to maintain compliance
• Review and approve tax returns before submission

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Substantial experience in tax planning, compliance, and preparation for diverse entity types (individuals, partnerships, corporations, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public accounting or tax advisory firms
• Experience researching, interpreting, and applying complex tax law and regulations
• Experience managing multiple tax engagement deadlines and deliverables with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Effective problem solving and strategic planning skills
