Position: Meat Team Member (Sam's Club) Base pay range $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr Overview This role supports the meat department by ensuring quality, packaging, and display of meat products. It focuses on customer service, attention to detail, and safe handling of meat items to provide a positive shopping experience for members. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team, communicate with team members, and be flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the preparation and handling of meat products. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; operate handheld devices to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind. Be an Owner: Maintain an orderly work area, ensure quality and date control for meat products, secure fragile items, reduce waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and product standards; show energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Compliance: Follow company policies and ethics standards, apply open-door policy concepts in daily operations. Complete work with effectively prioritized tasks, using policies and data, and communicate progress and opportunities for improvement.
