Custodian - Full Time

CUSTODIAN - FULL TIME - ELEMENTARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Custodial duties include all phases of commercial cleaning Setup and tear down of various school spaces (cafeteria, gymnasium, classrooms, etc.) Light maintenance duties and security responsibilities throughout the building. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting procedures Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow directions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs., such as pushing equipment, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Position starts with the 2026-2027 school year, Monday through Friday, 8 Hours/Day (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), 40 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/Year. Occasional extra work hours are available during week and/or weekend.
