Here, you will make an impact by:Developing and implementing improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost (productivity) in the Decatur Multi-Layer Optical Film (MOF) production areas.Assisting local and global manufacturing teams on rapid resolution of issues and complaints; including root cause analysis, timely response, communication, and implementation of corrective actions.Leading efforts to scale-up new products and work on cross-functional teams.Using Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement tools to drive improvements.Developing training, process standards, and other documentation supporting the operation of production lines.Covering production and experimental runs in a 24/7 manufacturing environment as needed.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).An internship or one (1) year of experience in a private, public, government, or military environment in one or more of the following areas: process engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, process development or quality.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
