Job Summary  

• The Medical Assistant (MA) supports clinical operations by providing patient care, recording vital signs, assisting with examinations, and performing laboratory duties such as blood draws and sample collection.
• This role ensures accurate documentation in patient records, maintains sterilization standards, and provides patient education in areas such as Primary Care and Pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Prepare patients for examinations, record medical history and vital signs, and assist clinicians during exams.
• Laboratory/Procedures: Perform blood draws, collect urine/stool samples, and conduct EKGs.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain, prepare, and clean exam rooms; update patient records in electronic health systems.
• Patient Support: Educate patients and families on preventive care and medication, while maintaining confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant training program (often required).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
• Attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with pediatric or primary care workflows

Certifications:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred or required for higher-level roles
