Caregiver - RCFE On Call/Weekend/OvernightWe are seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide high-quality care to residents in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). Caregivers will assist residents with daily living activities and provide hands-on support for individuals who require total assistance due to limited mobility or being bed bound. We strive to provide best-in-class benefits packages, including:Company covers minimum Malpractice Insurance during Brightstar assigned shiftsMileage ReimbursementFree TrainingPart of a team with RN OversightHome Health or Facility shifts availableMobile shift accessWeekly pay w/ direct depositFlexible scheduleEvery BrightStar Care location is independently owned and operatedWe promote from withinAccess to continuing educationMobile time tracking and care notes, employees can easily clock in and out for work right from a mobile deviceOver 95% of BrightStar locations are Joint Commission accredited or in process!Responsibilities• Provide total assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding. • Assist residents who are bed bound or have limited mobility. • Perform safe transfers and repositioning to prevent skin breakdown and maintain comfort. • Assist with incontinence care and toileting needs. • Support residents during meals and hydration. • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff or management. • Maintain a clean and safe living environment. • Document care provided according to facility policies. • Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights guidelines. • Provide compassionate care for clients with developmental disabilities, including individuals with behavioral support needs, while promoting safety, dignity, and independence in accordance with the care plan.Qualifications• Previous caregiving experience preferred (RCFE, assisted living, home care, or skilled nursing). • Ability to assist with bed bound residents and full ADL support. • Comfortable performing transfers, repositioning, and personal care. • Ability to lift and assist residents up to 50 lbs. • Strong communication skills and compassion for elderly residents.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of one (1) year of documented health care experience (unless participating in an approved Mentor Program)Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screeningAbility to pass a pre-employment criminal background checkNegative TB skin test or chest x-raySelf-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervisionMust be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
