Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active state teaching certification in Special Education required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities (mild to moderate/severe)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to modify curriculum and provide individualized instruction
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students receiving special education services
• Assess students’ learning needs and progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
• Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to each student’s unique requirements
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress, attendance, and other compliance documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development as required
