Production And Inventory Control Specialist

We are a family-owned, St. Louis-area maker of chef-crafted, all-natural frozen Italian foods, made with simple ingredients and no seed oils in our own facility. We are growing quickly and scaling production to match. This is a confidential search; we share our name with candidates we move forward. The role. You lead day-to-day production, inventory control and operational ordering. You manage production, packaging and sanitation teams, execute the manufacturing schedule, ensure materials are available, and maintain accurate raw-material, packaging and finished-goods records while improving safety, quality and efficiency. What you'll do Deliver the daily and weekly production schedule on time and in full, working from the supply chain plan Lead supervisors and line teams across dough, assembly, cooking, freezing and packaging; hire, train and coach Run daily performance reviews on safety, quality, cost, delivery and productivity, and fix the gaps that day Reduce waste, improve yield and line efficiency, and standardize work and changeovers Follow food safety, GMP and SOP requirements, and work with the Food Safety & Quality Lead on audits, holds and corrective actions Plan labor and capacity with Staffing and Maintenance, and flag constraints before they hurt orders Support new product launches, trials and scale-up from R&D and Culinary Coordinate ingredient and packaging availability, receiving, stock rotation, and finished-goods transfers with Supply Chain and warehouse teams Maintain accurate on-site inventory records; oversee cycle counts, reconciliations, lot tracking, expiration dates and FIFO/FEFO practices Manage day-to-day ordering and replenishment of ingredients, packaging and production supplies using approved suppliers, lead times, minimums and the production plan; coordinate larger purchasing commitments with Supply Chain Monitor inventory levels and shortages, flag risks early, and reconcile usage, waste and finished production against inventory movements Keep teams safe: enforce safety rules, investigate incidents, and keep work areas clean and organized What you bring [5+] years in food manufacturing production, with [2+] leading supervisors or a full line Proven record of meeting schedules and improving yield, efficiency or quality Strong knowledge of food safety systems: HACCP, GMP and SOPs; SQF or similar GFSI experience preferred Lean, continuous improvement or standard-work experience Comfortable with inventory systems, purchase orders, cycle counts, production KPIs, labor and cost reports A people leader who can hold a team accountable and keep morale high Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Nice to have Frozen food, pizza, pasta or bakery production experience Experience scaling a growing food brand or launching new lines Lean Six Sigma certification; bilingual a plus [adjust to your workforce] #J-18808-Ljbffr
