Job Title: Substitute Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Bellevue, Nebraska

Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)

Pay Range: Up to $50/hour (Pay based on experience)

Schedule: 1 day/week (Substituting any day Monday–Friday) – no weekends, no holidays, no call

Hours: 7.5 hours/day

Contract Length: 2026–2027 School Year

Candidate Type: Local candidates only – travel stipend not available

Requirements

• 1+  year(s) of experience as an RN.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Be willing to obtain Nebraska licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential substitute coverage, triage, and specialized nursing care to students in educational settings.

• Administer medications, perform routine clinical procedures, and provide first aid/emergency care as needed during the school day.

• Collaborate with school staff, regular full-time nurses, and families to ensure students receive medical services tailored to their individual health plans (IHPs) or IEPs.

• Document student clinic visits, treatments administered, and health room activity accurately in accordance with school policies.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and clinical environment within the school health room.

• Work adaptively across a variety of school buildings and student age groups depending on the weekly assignment needs.
