Maintenance Technician & Grounds Technician - Apartments

Position: Maintenance Technician and Grounds Technician. Location: Providence Glen Apartments - Columbus, OH. Scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with an on‑call rotation for the Maintenance Technician only. Competitive pay: Maintenance Technician: $20‑25 per hour (experience, qualifications); Grounds Technician: $18‑22 per hour (experience, qualifications). Responsibilities Maintenance Technician : Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, lighting, locks/keys, pool care, and groundskeeping tasks; handle apartment turnovers; complete work orders with speed and quality; respond to emergencies, including on‑call duties. Grounds Technician : Maintain property appearance through trash pickup, power washing, light grounds care, snow removal assistance, and minor repairs; care for landscaping (planting, fertilizing, watering); oversee pet area upkeep and restock dog station supplies; assist residents with outdoor concerns; complete light to moderate work orders and maintain pool chemical levels; after‑hours required only for emergencies. Qualifications Maintenance Technician : • 1+ year of multi‑family residential maintenance experience; • Experienced in apartment turnovers; • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, lighting, and grounds; • Strong customer‑service skills with a cheerful outlook; • Ability to work independently and efficiently; • Basic computer and smartphone skills; • Valid driver’s license, reliable truck/van, auto‑insurance; • Willingness to complete drug and background check if offered. Grounds Technician : • 1+ year of groundskeeping or property maintenance experience; • Landscaping experience (planting, fertilizing, watering trees, grass, flowers, shrubs); • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; • Strong customer‑service and communication skills; • Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities; • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; • Willingness to complete background and drug screening if offered.
