General Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA does not participate in any of these decisions. Responsibilities The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The role works with a leader to set restaurant goals and develops plans to achieve them. Lead a team of Department Managers, each with specific responsibilities in the restaurant. Help Department Managers set their own goals, monitor progress, and provide mentoring and direction to improve their departments and the overall restaurant. Hire, train, and develop Department and Shift Managers to maintain a capable leadership team. Requirements Previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. Strong background in quick‑service restaurants preferred; experience in hospitality or retail is also desirable. Minimum age 18 years. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
