Payroll Specialist
Our client is seeking a remote Payroll Specialist for a 3+ month contract position (possible extension/conversion). While this role is remote, the candidate MUST be located in NJ. Pay: $21-$23/hr DOE. Hours: M-F 9am-6pm ET. Responsibilities:
- Completes full cycle payroll processing
- Responds to employee payroll questions in an efficient manner
- Prepares payroll journal entries
- Reviews of the quarterly payroll tax reports
- Year-end processing W-2 and 1099
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field required.
- 0-2 years experience required.
- Experience in payroll processing
- Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Familiarity with payroll systems
- Experience utilizing workday
