Medical Assistant
Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience!
We are looking for a friendly, motivated team player who is willing and able to learn and be a member of an awesome team. We welcome candidates taking a gap year prior to PA school.
Job Description
- Room patients, triage, obtain/document medical history and chief complaint in EMR
- Document allergies and medications and obtain informed consent from patients
- Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures
- Assist skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures and cosmetic procedures
- Prescription management
- Patient call backs with pathology results/Schedule excisions
- Prior authorizations and biologics
- Clean and restock exam rooms/assist with inventory
- Sterilize instruments
- Assist with any administrative duties such as answering the phone, patient questions and scheduling
Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) of medical assistant experience (required)
- EMR experience (required)
- Dermatology experience (preferred)
- Front desk experience (preferred)
- Looking for future PA/medical student candidates needing clinical hours for a gap year or more
Job type: Full-time, Monday-Friday
