Sr. Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $55 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform and review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Skilled in reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail in reviewing and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and supporting organizational goals.
