Graduate Research Assistant

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to support innovative research and academic initiatives at the Fibers and Composites Manufacturing Facility. The department offers graduate programs in Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Aerospace Engineering (AE). Our group at FCMF at Innovation South (IS) is working at the forefront of composite innovation with specific research focus ranging from fiber and composite manufacturing to address the latest challenges. Role Description This full-time, on-site position is based in Knoxville, TN. The GRA will conduct advanced research, perform laboratory experiments, analyze data, and make progress in their academic program. The selected candidate will work under the advisement of the faculty and collaborate with fellow researchers on projects to accomplish the goals of the assigned project.
