Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 48-Hour Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Float within the hospital as needed, including to the Cardiac ICU / CVPICU, based on census demands; travelers are prioritized for floating when census decreases and are notified at the start of their shift
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems
• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including every-other-weekend (EOW) commitment and a minimum of 2 holiday shifts
• Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; exposure to CICU is strongly preferred
• Active RN license required at time of submission — single-state Ohio license or valid multi-state compact license accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must be fully vaccinated — no exceptions
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Prior exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) environments
• Any additional nursing certifications (e.g., ANCC) are a plus
