Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiothoracic Surgery
License: Active Iowa License
Certifications: Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), ACLS, BLS


Must-Have:
- At least 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
- Clean malpractice/background


Description:
A Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant is needed to cover open dates and ongoing needs.


Coverage dates include:
August 10 - 12: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM all days
August 13 - 16: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 15th and 16th ending at 7:00 AM on the 17th
October 5 - 11: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 10th and 11th ending at 8:00 AM on the 12th
October 26 - 31: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 31st ending at 7:00 AM on November 1st
November 23 - 28: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 28th ending at 7:00 AM on the 29th
December 21 - 31: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 27th


Weekdays consist of Clinic and Night Call.
Weekends are 24-hour On Call.
Call ratio is 1:2.
Average of 125 CABG cases per year, few of which are emergent.
Experience in endoscopic vessel harvesting is required.
This is a level 2 trauma facility.
Ongoing open dates needing coverage are available.
