Call for Salary Rate - Job Summary: The Medical Technologist will perform complex laboratory procedures within the Hematology Department, primarily focusing on blood bank experiences. The role involves specimen collection, analysis, and quality control to support accurate lab results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Collect, process, and receive specimens including blood, urine, fecal, and body fluids for analysis. Perform and evaluate complex laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures. Analyze quality control data, troubleshoot deviations, and implement corrective actions. Support laboratory initiatives by communicating effectively about testing methodologies and results. Maintain instrument functions, monitor temperature controls, and review system indicators. Participate in evaluating new techniques, writing technical procedures, and supporting lab improvements. Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree for grandfathered personnel. Possess an active CLS or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent credential. Demonstrate strong blood bank experience and proficiency in laboratory procedures. Be capable of problem-solving and troubleshooting discrepancies in test results. Have the ability to work night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off rotation, with initial training on day shift.
