District Talent Manager

Applicants must reside in the Detroit metro area or within easy travel distance. The District Talent Manager (DTM) will serve as an embedded, client-facing extension of the account management team for Detroit Public Schools. The DTM provides onsite and day-to-day support to the district while working closely with the established Account Managers who maintain overall ownership of the client relationship. This role helps ensure seamless service delivery by supporting contractors, coordinating onsite needs, managing materials and supplies, and responding to day-to-day client needs. The DTM plays an integral role in maintaining client satisfaction, strengthening the company’s presence within the district, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring that the client receives consistent, responsive support. Key Responsibilities Client and Account Support Serve as an integral day-to-day contact for the Detroit Public Schools, providing onsite support and responsiveness to client needs. Work closely with the primary Account Managers to support the overall client relationship and ensure consistent service delivery. Provide onsite availability and support based on district needs and business requirements. Build strong working relationships with district leadership, school administrators, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Communicate regularly with primary Account Managers regarding client needs, service issues, account health, and opportunities for improvement. Support the resolution of client and contractor challenges promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the appropriate Account Manager or internal partner when needed. Serve as a visible and professional representative of the company within the client district. Contractor and Onsite Support Provide day-to-day support to contractors working within the assigned district. Assist contractors with questions, logistical needs, and district-specific processes. Help facilitate effective communication between contractors, the district, and internal staffing teams. Identify and communicate contractor needs or concerns to the appropriate internal partners. Support a positive contractor experience that contributes to retention and successful service delivery. Materials and Supply Management Manage materials, supplies, and resources provided for use by contractors within the district. Establish and maintain an organized process for the distribution, check-in, and check-out of materials and supplies. Ensure materials are available to contractors in a timely manner and are properly tracked. Maintain accurate records of inventory and materials assigned to contractors. Monitor supply levels and proactively communicate replenishment needs. Ensure materials are returned, accounted for, and appropriately stored or redistributed when assignments end. Account Growth and Business Development Support Identify opportunities to expand services, disciplines, positions, and placements within the assigned district and communicate opportunities to the primary Account Managers. Develop a strong understanding of district needs and identify potential opportunities that may otherwise be difficult to identify remotely. Support Account Managers with information, relationships, and onsite insight that can contribute to account growth and retention. Help strengthen the company’s presence and partnership within the district. Communication and Performance Maintain consistent communication with primary Account Managers and internal staffing partners. Monitor day-to-day service delivery and proactively identify potential issues before they affect the client or contractors. Utilize data, observations, and client feedback to identify trends and recommend solutions. Maintain accurate documentation related to client interactions, contractor support, materials, and onsite activities. Contribute to account and team performance goals through exceptional service, proactive support, and identification of growth opportunities. Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Recent experience in account management, client service, education, special education, school-based services, or a related field. Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships. Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation. Strong organization, planning, and follow-through abilities. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations. Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure. Detail-oriented with strong accountability and problem-solving skills. Collaborative team player who works effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a school psychologist, related service provider, or administrator. Experience working directly within a school district or educational setting. Experience managing accounts or client relationships in a staffing, education, healthcare, or service-oriented industry. Demonstrated success supporting or expanding existing client relationships. Familiarity with data-driven performance metrics and business analytics. Strong conflict management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
