Key Responsibilities Carry out comprehensive dental cleanings, which include scaling and polishing to eliminate plaque and tartar. Perform patient evaluations, including gathering medical histories and conducting oral examinations. Inform patients about effective oral hygiene methods and the significance of routine dental check-ups. Keep precise patient records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Apply aseptic techniques to maintain infection control during all procedures. Support the dentist during various treatments as required, ensuring efficient clinic operations. Safely and effectively operate dental tools and equipment. Stay informed about the latest developments in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications and Experience Preferred prior experience as a Dental Hygienist, with knowledge of Dentrix being an advantage. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control measures. Exceptional patient care abilities with effective communication skills for diverse patient groups. Proficiency in aseptic techniques is crucial for maintaining a sterile environment. Experience in assisting with dental procedures is beneficial.
