Job Developer

Achievement House is a local nonprofit organizations in San Luis Obispo, CA, dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Job Developer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve greater independence through meaningful employment. Responsibilities Work one-on-one with adults with disabilities to identify employment goals and provide hands-on job training and vocational instruction Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to create job opportunities for clients Conduct job market research and analyze employment trends to inform job placement strategies Coordinate with Job Coaches to ensure successful job placements and ongoing support for clients Facilitate Job Preparation classes and quarterly job club events to enhance clients' workplace readiness Participate in community outreach and employment-related events to promote program awareness Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and documentation related to client progress and employer partnerships Place at least two clients in employment per quarter, when referrals are available Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation Proof of current auto insurance Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable with public interaction Experience working with people with disabilities or transferable skills from sales, customer service, or community outreach Organized, self-motivated, and strong time management skills Basic technology and computer skills Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Compensation $24.00 per hour with a $250 sign-on bonus . Flexible scheduling is required, including days, evenings, and weekends.
