While you'll provide support for everyday activities, such as meal preparation, you'll also support people as they plan for bigger events, such as trips. You'll support people as they discover what they're passionate about and pursue their dreams. One thing's for sure: every day with Heart Havens is different!Requirements:Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. 6 months' previous direct support experience required. 1-year previous direct support experience in a DD residential group home setting preferred, or a combination of experience and certifications with a minimum of two years in DD residential with a consistent job history.Qualifications and Expectations:Valid Virginia driver's licensePhysical Requirements:May require driving up to 8 hoursMay require frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching and walkingMay require standing up for up to 8 hoursMay require lifting at times, up to 25 pounds
