Sales Merchandiser Specialist

Schedule: 6AM Until Completion (Weekends Required) Location: Charleston, SC and surrounding areas Pay Range: $53,000-$55,000 (Bi-Weekly, Day Rate) Job Overview The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist supports the POD Model in a flexible 24/7 operation. This role provides coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser, acts as the first call point for late PM/early AM weekends, and liaises between customers, merchandisers, and drivers regarding order refusals and inventory overload. The specialist executes weekend operational plans and keeps the DSM apprised as appropriate. Duties & Responsibilities Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and the shelf according to procedures and special programs; provide vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser. Manage sales and execute in an assigned group of customers on daily pre-set routes, generating sales orders based on the assigned delivery frequency to ensure day‑to‑day success and contribute to the company's financial performance. Execute applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point‑Of‑Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores. Organize and maintain back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, handle return of empty pallets and shells, damaged, and out‑of‑date product to the branch. Create and distribute point‑of‑sale materials on display and shelves where permitted; rotate product; fill and merchandize Fastlane merchandisers and vendors and check vendor compliance. Foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow‑up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities. Identify and communicate any competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business (e.g., pricing, new packaging, change in business strategy) while executing all job duties in a safe working manner. Serve as the first call point for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage and act as liaison between the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overload.
