Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and surgical pediatric patients in a 26-bed PICU
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient acuity
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in pediatric patient conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Fulfill every-other-weekend and holiday rotation requirements
• Participate in unit/department-specific orientation upon hire

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU or CVICU nursing experience
• CVICU experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for a diverse range of critically ill pediatric diagnoses
• Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric surgical patient populations
