Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Platig Lab at the University of Virginia seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate the role of alternative splicing in Type 1 Diabetes using long-read RNA-seq data from CD4+ T cells. The role involves integrating multi-omics datasets, developing machine learning methods to understand RNA binding protein regulation, collaborating with wet-lab partners on experimental validation, and contributing to publications and grant writing. This 12-month appointment, renewable based on performance and funding availability, offers training in the intersection of machine learning, RNA biology, and immunology.
