Assistant Store Manager

Overview Assistant Store Manager position based in Brimley, MI. Use automotive or customer service expertise to serve wholesale and retail customers, lead a team, and drive store performance for NAPA as a leading parts supplier. Responsibilities Provide a superior customer service experience to achieve market penetration, drive store growth, increase sales and profitability Lead daily operations and foster a culture of employee engagement Partner with teammates to drive store initiatives and maintain a strong team environment Balance people focus with profit goals Learn and grow within the organization A Day in the Life Lead a successful team, support the store manager, and manage in a fast-paced retail environment Manage store operations to maximize sales, profits and customer service Coach, train and engage crew to deliver superior customer care and business results Inventory protection, asset management, and addressing operational and safety issues Maintain cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, sales floor, stock room and outside areas Drive NAPA operational and marketing programs while pursuing process improvements Grow customer relationships and assist with sales/service questions for in-store and phone interactions Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus Experience in the automotive aftermarket, hobby/DIY, or willingness to learn automotive topics Passion for delivering customer care and building long-term relationships Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems Ability to lift 60 lbs as required Preferred Background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership environments Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision, or fast food/restaurant/convenience store management Strong customer-centric approach ASE Certifications NAPA Know How Why NAPA may be the right place for you Excellent health benefits and 401K Stable company with Fortune 200 standing and a family feel Culture that values hard work and employee well-being Opportunity for multiple career paths and ongoing development with leadership support Not the right fit?
