Treehouse Family Counseling Services is seeking a warm, experienced, and thoughtful Clinical Director to join our leadership team.

For more than 30 years, Treehouse has provided children, adolescents, adults, and families with a safe place to heal and grow. Our practice is grounded in relationships, developmental understanding, trauma-informed care, play and expressive approaches, and respect for the individual needs of the children and families we serve.

We are looking for someone who wants to remain clinically connected while becoming an important leader within an established and collaborative child- and family-centered practice.

The Opportunity

This is an approximately 25–30 hour-per-week position combining a limited clinical caseload with protected time for clinical leadership, supervision, consultation, staff development, quality assurance, and program support.

The Clinical Director will initially maintain approximately 8 clinical sessions per week, with an anticipated ongoing caseload of approximately 8–10 sessions as the individual becomes established in the role.
Importantly, Clinical Director responsibilities are protected work time and are not expected to occur simply between client sessions.

What You'll Do

· Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and mentorship to therapists.

· Provide clinical supervision to associates when appropriately qualified.

· Support clinicians with complex cases, treatment planning, risk assessment, parent concerns, clinical boundaries, and family-system issues.

· Facilitate clinical consultation and staff-development opportunities.

· Support clinical documentation, quality assurance, and professional standards.

· Participate in clinician hiring, onboarding, and professional development.

· Help identify training needs and opportunities for continued clinical growth.

· Support clinicians navigating challenging family systems and complex clinical situations.

· Collaborate with the Owner/CEO and administrative team.

· Maintain a limited clinical caseload.

· Contribute to the continued development of Treehouse clinical programs and services.

Comfortable making decisions. You do not need someone else to make every difficult call, but you recognize when consultation or escalation is important.

Collaborative. You respect the professional judgment of experienced clinicians and understand that leadership does not mean everyone must practice exactly as you do.

Committed to children and families. You understand that effective work with children requires attention to development, relationships, caregivers, and family systems.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a current California license in good standing as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or licensed psychologist and have substantial clinical experience.

We strongly value experience in:

· Child and adolescent therapy

· Family systems

· Trauma-informed treatment

· Clinical supervision and consultation
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Risk assessment

· Parent consultation

· Complex and high-conflict family dynamics

Experience with play therapy, sandtray, expressive therapies, trauma treatment, high-conflict family systems, or parent support is particularly welcome. Registered Play Therapist™ and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™ credentials are valued but are not required.

Compensation & Schedule

$80–$85 per hour, depending upon experience and qualifications, plus eligible benefits.

Approximately 25–30 hours per week, with approximately 28 hours serving as the anticipated planning target. Some scheduling flexibility is available. Availability during times when Treehouse clinicians are actively seeing clients will be important.
