Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 24 months of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required License: Active Iowa license or compact multistate license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Heparin experience required Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Med Surg/Telemetry position. Candidates must have a minimum of 24 months of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience. Experience in Telemetry, IMCU, stepdown, or PCU is also acceptable. Previous travel experience is required. Candidates must have experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems. Heparin experience is mandatory. Patient ratios are 3:5, with 2:7 at most. The unit accommodates overnight stays for ED observation and varies in surgery cases. The bed size for the unit is 16. Every other weekend work is required. Candidates may be called to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays. Navy scrubs are required for this position. References from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager are preferred.
