Senior Electrical Engineer

Electrical EngineerWe are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power generation systems, gas turbine integration, and electrical packaging for distributed energy projects. This role will support the development, installation, and maintenance of our microturbine products and packaging systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical knowledge of electrical systems in industrial or energy environments and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Essential Functions:Design and support electrical systems for microturbine-based power generation packagesDevelop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for high-efficiency distributed energy systemsCollaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to optimize system integrationOversee compliance with electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, UL, CE, etc.)Participate in build reviews, FAT, and commissioning of packaged systemsSupport testing and validation of turbine control systems and electrical interfacesTroubleshoot and resolve field issues related to power output, grid integration, or control electronicsPrepare documentation for electrical components and installation proceduresCoordinate with supply chain and vendors to specify electrical equipment and componentsQualifications, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required); Master's preferred5+ years in power generation, turbine systems, or industrial equipmentHands-on experience with packaging electrical systems and integrationFamiliarity with rotating equipment, switchgear, PLCs, and protection systemsWorking knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, UL, ISO)Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, and Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:Experience with microturbine technologies or gas turbine controlsElectrical PE license or progress toward licensureFamiliarity with grid interconnect standards and hybrid energy systemsWorking knowledge of international compliance and export control (e.g., CE, RoHS)
