Operations Supervisor

Job Description We are immediately hiring an Operations Supervisor to join the Ryder team in Etna, OH. $60,000‑$65,000 per year salary + benefits and PTO Location: Etna, OH Experience: working in a distribution center environment and supervisory experience is a plus Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm The Operations Supervisor reports to the Manager and is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and overseeing day‑to‑day logistics operations, coaching staff, recommending process improvements, and ensuring team performance meets business objectives. Essential Functions Supervise, coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations. Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes to meet company standards and customer service specifications. Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics. Accountable for site key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations. Meet regularly with team members, both collectively and individually, to monitor progress, coach, counsel, and recognize achievements. Cultivate team spirit through diversity and inclusion initiatives and promote cooperation through continuous process improvement. Carry out performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases when appropriate. Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes. Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations. Implement health & safety, security initiatives, and adherence to company policies. Provide orientation and necessary information and tools to employees and Lead Hands. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. One year or more in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred. Zero to one year of direct supervisory or leadership experience required. Compensation Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year, paid as a salaried position. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and long‑term incentive plans based on level and type.
