Project Safety Coordinator

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to support safety initiatives on an active construction site. This individual will play a key role in fostering a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment while partnering closely with field leadership and subcontractors within a large medical campus. Key Responsibilities Serve as a safety liaison by communicating effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to reinforce site-wide safety expectations. Maintain a strong understanding of project safety and health programs, client‑specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Support regulatory inspections (e.g., OSHA) and ensure compliance with all applicable standards. Assist in incident response efforts, including investigations, injury management, and reporting for accidents and near‑miss events. Monitor safety performance across all trades and subcontractors, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions. Participate in ongoing safety training to build knowledge and strengthen site‑wide safety culture. Gain hands‑on exposure to the construction process while developing a comprehensive understanding of project roles, responsibilities, and operations. Skills and Requirements Seven years of building construction, with at least 5 years of construction safety in General Contracting. Qualified candidate must have completed a four‑year degree in safety‑related discipline and show at least 3 years of actual field experience in safety. OSHA 500 or 502 Certificate. First Aid, CPR, and AED (current within 2 years). Specialized Training (must be 4 hours or longer within 5 years) – can be obtained before starting.
