Shift: 10:45 AM - 11:15 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Respiratory Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in floor-care therapy. Minimum 2 years’ experience with intensive-care therapy. The assignment requires either Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) experience with familiarity with the Servoi, SiPAP, and Sensormedics 3100A (HFOV) ventilators and blood gas analysis, or adult intensive care unit experience with familiarity with the Servoi, ventilator extubation protocols, and ABGs.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU Level 4 with L&D and PICU Level 1 trauma and transplant experience would be ideal. For this opening, ED experience in a Level 1 trauma setting, including pediatric and newborn (PALS/NRP) ED experience, is specifically sought.

Required Credentials: ACLS is required if working in the AICU. NRP is required if working in the NICU. PALS is required if working in the PICU.

Unit Details: Basic floor-care respiratory therapy includes nebulizers and MDIs, bronchial hygiene (CPT), volume expansion (PEP), and CPAP/BiPAP for all ages (infant to geriatric). Equipment includes Servoi, SiPAP, Sensormedics 3100A (HFOV), and supply and medication Pyxis machines.

Floating Requirements: Typically, the NICU is also assigned to adult floors or adult ICUs. NICU assignments are not guaranteed every shift, and permanent staff are prioritized for NICU assignments.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
