Data ManagerReports to: PrincipalQualifications:High school diploma or equivalency requiredData Manager Skillet Requirements:Required to be a Certified Notary Public, otherwise will be expected to obtain (cost to be covered by school)Possesses an organized approach and excellent time management skillsPrioritize and structure tasks to meet deadlines and expectationsPossesses the ability to work well as part of a teamPossesses computer literacy and good keyboarding skillsPossesses good numeracy skillsMaintains accuracy and attention to detailMaintains professionalism at all timesPossesses administrative skills to interpret county and state policies governing enrollment/withdrawal, attendance, immunizations, and health recordsPossesses effective communication skills to communicate with school personnel, students, parents, and outside agenciesEffectively uses software for data entry, reporting, word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, and PowerSchool programUses discretion and keeps information confidential when working with sensitive student/staff informationNeeds limited supervision and is able to work independently and as a part of a teamUses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructionsAbility to make decisions and solve problems with school data and information providedWorks well under pressureKey Duties and Responsibilities:PowerSchool Student Information Management, including but not limited to:EnrollmentsWithdrawalsDisciplineStudent/Teacher/Room SchedulesTranscriptsHistorical GradeTest ScoresImmunizationsDemographicsAttendance and Grade ManagementMonitors the entry of attendance and grades by teachers into PowerSchoolMonitors student absences for correct excused/unexcused codingPrepares student absence lists and daily absence bulletinMaintains student sign-in/sign-out logs, based upon directions from coordinatorCorresponds with parents concerning student absences and tardiness, including attendance letters per school district proceduresDirects teachers concerning attendance procedures and policiesStudent Entry and Withdrawals (in coordination with administration)Enrolls new students throughout the yearEnters basic student and demographic informationProcesses arriving student's cumulative recordsPrepares cumulative records for departing studentsWithdraws departing student from PowerSchoolMaintains files of arriving/departing students' cumulative recordsCopies and send cumulative records for withdrawing studentsMaintains a log of students when entered and departed the school throughout the yearRequests cumulative records for new students and sends cumulative records upon request for exiting studentsManages student cumulative records according to federal (FERPA) and district policies and procedures. (Exception for grades 9-12; other clerical staff may be responsible for records duties at the discretion of the principal)Collects data for and prints marking period report cardsPowerSchool-Reporting and AuditsGenerate reports that satisfy the requirements from the following School Administrators; District Administrators; Local and State Government; Law Enforcement; Health Agencies and North Carolina Department of Public InstructionCalculates and prepares Honor RollsPerforms historical testing audits on student recordsMonthly and Quarterly Reports Include:Principal Monthly Report (PMR)Student Activity Report (SAR)Monthly and Quarterly Data Team reportsScheduling reportsHeadcount reportsCivil Rights Data CollectionSpring and Fall AIGDisciplineAlternative Learning ReportCommon Follow-upDropout data collectionRetention/promotion/graduation report
