Design & Release Engineer (Fascia / Bumper / Grill)
Our client, a leading automotive engineering organization, is seeking a Design & Release Engineer to join their team. As a Design & Release Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Product Development and Vehicle Integration teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Range: $42/hour (Contract)
What's the Job?
- Lead design and release of exterior automotive components (fascia, bumper, grille)
- Manage development timelines and support full product lifecycle
- Perform design validation using CAE and physical testing
- Support pilot builds and production launch activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve fit, finish, and performance issues
Must-Have Requirements
- 2–3+ years of engineering experience
- Automotive industry experience
- Experience with CAD tools (NX or Teamcenter)
- Experience with exterior or interior automotive systems
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or 5+ years of relevant experience)
- Plastics experience (highly preferred)
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn internal systems
