USA - Project Coordinator at (Sports) Events
GoHammerhead
GoHammerhead provides high-quality VIP transportation at the most prestigious (sports) events worldwide. GoHammerhead always has a team on-site, offers consultancy on event transportation, and handles its execution. Examples of events we contribute to as a team include Formula 1, Formula E, MotoGP, WEC, Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, and events for various (luxury) brands such as Montblanc, Aston Martin, and SAP. As a Project Coordinator (Transportation Specialist) at GoHammerhead, you are the person who ensures clients have a seamless transport experience. Your exact role on-site depends on your level of experience. The Transportation Specialist role is the entry position if you’re (relatively) new to our team. As you gain experience, you can progress to roles such as Transportation Project Manager, Senior Transportation Project Manager, and Lead Transportation Project Manager. If you already have significant experience (inside or outside GoHammerhead), your starting position will be adjusted accordingly. Together, we’ll ensure that you become an expert in schedules, locations, and routes, enabling you to exceed client expectations using your insight and the right tools provided by GoHammerhead. Execution is done in collaboration with our local partners and/or as part of a team with GoHammerhead colleagues. As a team, we strive to deliver the highest possible quality and are always ready to assist our clients. GoHammerhead arranges your travel and accommodation, including (airline) tickets, transport, and hotels. You’ll travel independently and well-prepared to diverse event locations worldwide. On-site, you’ll be responsible for executing your transport schedule as well as managing those of your (local) team members. Preparation starts at home, with ample time on-site to finalize details. During events, we’ll teach you the finer points of the profession. You’ll review clients’ routes and travel schedules with colleagues and clients both before and during the event, checking feasibility and addressing any potential issues. You’ll ensure that the vehicles used by you and your team are always impeccably presented, sometimes even branded with the client’s logo. You’ll welcome your guests at airports, hotels, and event locations according to the established transport schedules. Someone who is flexibly deployable. A team player who enjoys working in a dynamic team with people from diverse backgrounds. You are proactive and support your colleagues whenever needed. Someone who is resilient under stress, capable of handling long, irregular workdays and high workloads. Someone who is communicatively strong and eager to work in an international environment. Someone with a strong affinity for hospitality and service delivery. Someone who is proficient in the English language. Someone with a higher professional or academic level of thinking and working (HBO/WO). In possession of a Category B driver’s license and extensive driving experience. The opportunity to be deployed worldwide during prestigious (sports) events. Flexible availability: depending on your availability, you can join us between 1 and 20 times per year. An average event week lasts 7 days. A fixed fee per event based on the number of days worked. Opportunities for growth within our expanding company. A fantastic, dynamic work atmosphere with great colleagues. A perfect chance to see a lot of the world. Depending on the specific arrangement (which is individually negotiable and depends on experience, skills, and availability), we expect the role to correspond to approximately 0.6–0.7 FTE. Of course, it is also possible to work with us on an on-call basis a few times a year alongside other work or studies. This means there is room for other activities or commitments alongside this role as On-Site Event Staff.
