ACCOUNTABILITY

The Night Auditor verifies all account postings and balances, prioritizes guest satisfaction, accurately posts and reconciles charges, settlements, and files for rooms and credit card transactions, and ensures the seamless reset of systems for the next day's operations. This role demands high self‑reliance and a focus on timely, precise, and high‑quality outcomes. REPORTS TO – Front Office Manager & Assistant General Manager/General Manager FLSA Designation – Non‑Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Check‑In and Check‑Out: Assist with arrivals and departures, room assignments, and provide information about hotel amenities. Account Verification: Review and verify all financial transactions for accuracy. Settlement Processing: Post and balance room charges, credit card settlements, and other transactions, correcting discrepancies. Report Generation: Produce daily financial reports, including revenue and occupancy reports. File Maintenance: Organize accounting records, keep them up‑to‑date and ready for audit. System Reset: Reset and prepare the hotel’s computer systems for the next day. Guest Service: Provide excellent customer service, handle inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly. Reservation Handling: Manage bookings, modifications, and cancellations. Security Monitoring: Watch security systems and cameras, report unusual activity. Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and guest needs during overnight hours per safety protocols. Cash Handling: Process cash and credit card transactions, maintain accurate records, reconcile cash, and report discrepancies. Organize tasks and prioritize work; maintain physical stamina for lifting, bending, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Adapt to a variety of duties, participate in department meetings, and maintain open communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent (additional hospitality education is a plus). Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk roles preferred. Proficiency with reservation systems and hotel software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; stand for extended periods. WORK HOURS – Sunday and Monday evenings, 11 pm to 7 am. POSITION – On‑site work at the hotel property.
