About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-18:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Critical care experience required; Pre-op experience preferred Description: Respond to the demand for highly skilled nursing care in cardiovascular surgery. Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Perform large-bore IV starts and assist with various medical procedures such as arterial line and central line placements. Administer medications and conduct thorough skin assessments. Prepare patients for surgical procedures including induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep. Monitor patient vitals and utilize advanced medical equipment effectively. Demonstrate excellent documentation practices and critical thinking skills. Communicate effectively within an interdepartmental team. Work independently while managing multiple priorities. Adhere to established protocols and policies regarding patient safety and care excellence. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. Engage in a collaborative work environment with nursing staff and support personnel. Uphold the highest standards of nursing excellence in every aspect of patient care.
