Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of hospital-based cardiac experience and RDCS or RCS certification.
Details
- Performs an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies and may also perform vascular studies in clinical and research settings at various locations
- Conducts inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, stress echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography
- Examinations include Transthoracic, Exercise, and Pharmacologic Stress Echocardiograms
- Performs special procedures including echo guided myocardial biopsies, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy studies, and additional procedures per research protocols and clinical trials
- Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend rotation
Requirements
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required
- B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred
- RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI required
- RVT preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience in a hospital setting required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Studies are used by physicians to diagnose heart disease and conduct heart studies
- Comparable facility size experience may be required depending on assignment location
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate
